For those who doesn't know, yes yes...it's my Birthday today!  One year older . Hubby so sweet, he ordered a bouquet of pink roses  and a box of ferrero to my office. We went to Unique Seafood Restaurant for dinner. Best birthday dinner i ever had. I tried Geoduck for the first time. Yummy... Thanks Hubby!

Just to show you some recent photos of pea...as you can see, he was wearing the 'lamp-shade' thing to prevent him from scratching his mouth....cute hor? He still managed to pose with the shade on. And also pic from top view...can you see how FAT he is now??

5th Day: Kuranda & Mareeba
|
|
Second last day ....decided to drive to the western side of Cairns for some sightseeing. All i can see is hot sun and more hot hot sun. Hahahaha.
First stop was Barron Falls, then to Kuranda market. Hubby and I decided to go to Kuranda Koala Garden instead of the market. Hubby paid AUD14 for me to have a photo taken with Louie the Koala. Aiyoooo...so cute and soft. He clings to me as if am a eucalyptus tree (is that how you spell it?) Fell in love with Louie. Saw wombats but those sleepyheads so lazy......zzz zzz zzz inside a big log. 
Next we stop at Mareeba for lunch at this recommended place called RSLA Club! Veli nice  and cheap!!!
After lunch, we headed half way towards Atherton to a banana farm...tried the banana liquer....YUCKS!!!  Then we went to Golden Drop Winery for mango wines...superly tasty . Bought two bottles of mango wine and hubby said save it for special occasion. Hehehe..my birthday is coming!!!!

4th Day @ Cairns : Green Island

We took a half day tour to Green Island. The brochure said that it is famous for seaturtle but didn't see any  . Maybe i didn't snorkel far enuff. Saw two stingrays swimming below me....and also a BIG BIG parrot fish (my papa's fav fish for steaming...yucks 
After the trip, we went to have lunch at a Chinese Restaurant...not as good as Melbourne though. We headed back home to rest.....at nite we went to the Night Market. Nothing much...mostly selling souvenirs. Hubby and I saw a restaurant called Kani's selling lobsters and giant sized mud crab. One mud crab costs AUD55 (about RM160)...hubby suggested since we are there why not we give it a try. OH MY GOD!!! It was SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
We went to The Reef Casino after that...didn't win anything lerrrrrr....doesn't have my favourite slot machine

3rd Day @ Cairns: Port Douglas and Palm Cove

After a tiring trip yesterday, we decided to enjoy the day by driving to Port Douglas and Palm Cove, which is up North from Cairns City.

We took the SilverSonic package ....hubby went diving while i go snorkelling. Coach picked us up at our place and the boat departed at Port Douglas. I tot we were heading to an island to snorkel. Was shocked when they stop in the middle of the ocean...and everyone just jumped off to snorkel. And am so proud of myself cos this is the bravest thing i have ever done in my whole life! Snorkel in the middle of the sea!!!!! Surprisingly i enjoyed it. Too bad i didn't have those underwater camera. The reefs were amazing.

Yippeee!!!!! Arrived Cairns at 5.15 a.m...lots of people at the Immigration so by the time we came out was about 7 a.m. Took our car then went straight to our holiday house at 27 Jamieson St,Trinity Beach. It was cozy with swimming pool at the back. After a short nap, we head down to Cairns City for brunch and hunt around for good diving package. Head home for more rest after that.
