Fondue

My passionfruit soda. Nice!
Hubby with his peach soda. Equally nice!
Cheese and Bacon Fondue..yummz
View all 11 photos...
After reading a few blogs on how good this Fondue House is, Hubby and I decided to try it out. Yummzzz...it was not too bad. They recommended the garlic cheese fondue which sounded so yummy to me, but too bad i got indigestion problem so garlic is big no-no especially at dinner time. We ordered the beef bacon fondue instead with sirloin beef cubes and breaded fried chicken. It comes with complimentary bread and crackers and a few broccoli, celery and carrot sticks.

But to me, the highlight of this meal was not the cheese fondue. We found out they give complimentary chocolate fondue with mixed fruits cos we order cheese fondue set. WAHHHH!!! Their chocolate fondue menu is so tempting....you can choose either normal chocolate, whisky chocolate or peanut butter fondue with either mixed fruits, strawberries, ice-cream or cakes & crackers. Aiyooo........so heavenly feel leh!!!! I will definately go back for their chocolate fondue again!!!!

Yea yea.. i went for 2nd visit last time, and i tried the chocolate fondue.. it was GREAT.. hehehe.. love that alot.. planning for next visit ! Fri 13-Oct-2006 06:43

Korean Dinner + New Hairstyle

Taken before dinner at SS2...nice hor?
That's a lot of kimchis for 2 person!!! 19 dishes altogether
Marinated Pork Ribs
View all 5 photos...
Instead of posting separately, i decided to yak about my Korean dinner and new hairstyle in 1 post.

Had Korean for dinner yesterday at our favourite restaurant called Nak Won at Sri Hartamas. As usual, we ordered our favourite marinated spare ribs (still the best) and being a big fan of duckie, i ordered the duck breast too. A bit disappointed though cos it was nothing special. I think dat's because it was not marinated and sliced too thinly. Service also a bit slow, probably cos it's was a Saturday nite. Hubby and I decided on two things..next time we should only stick to the marinated pork ribs and to go during weekdays!

Ok...now let's talk about my hair. After my last haircut, which i can't even remember when, finally decided to do something with my hair. Initially wanted to just chop it short ....suddenly dunno what happened, i got my hair permed and HIGHLIGHTED!!!! Luckily Hubby loves it. Spent RM300 and 4 1/2 hours in the salon. Pretty or not my hair?

Dumpling Soup

After having such a delicious dumpling soup in Macau, I decided to try making it myself. Not too bad...but still got plenty of room for improvement.

3rd and Last Day in Macau

Senado Square

View all 39 photos...
Last day in Macau...sigh...good time really flies....and now flew!! Anyway....since our flight is actually tomorrow (2.45 a.m.), we extended our check out time to 6 p.m. Have to pay lerr of course but at least we can get some afternoon nap.

Since we went to Senado Square and Ruins of St Paul's in the evening, we decided to go again in the morning. It's a totally different 'feel' altogether and not to mentioned much lesser people at Senado Square. Wanted to go for dumpling again but it was not opened yet...sigh..maybe next trip ler. Suddenly spotted cameraman with TVB logo...hehehe...turned out they are shooting a food show and Belinda Hamlett as the host. Feeling excited we waited until she is alone and i quickly walked over to take a picture with her.

For lunch, we decided to go back to Dumbo again...yummzzz...quail....hubby even bought me one to savour in the hotel room. It's really good, they stuffed it with garlic and herbs...mmm..yummy .

On the way back to hotel, we stopped by to buy more cookies. I even tried my hand to make one. Hehehehe... Successful in the first try tim!!!!

After checking out, we headed to Sands again to kill time till 12 a.m. . Then, back to hotel to collect our luggage and "Mocha" time (name of the casino in our hotel) before we head to airport at 1am.

Overrall, we find the people of Macau, whether casino staff, people in the street or shop owners, are very helpful and friendly. Its definitely a place to visit again!!!!.

wahhhh!!! *droollllllll* wipe wipe... NICE HOLIDAY WOR... Last day met actress summore..... Very good very good.. OK NEX TRIP TO HK/MACAU wif u as our tour guide lah....

welcome home!!!!

2nd Day in Macau~~ My luckiest day!

Hac Sa Beach at Coloane
Can you spot the plane?
Oh No! Closed today?
View all 32 photos...
I read from the travel websites and blogs....everybody seems to recommend this place called Fernandos. Even my hubby's friend also said it's a must try...especially the suckling pig. So off we went....we took a bus from opposite the hotel to Hac Sa (Black Sand) beach which is in Coloane. Also recommended a must must must must try is the best portugese tart from Lord Stow Bakery in Coloane Village.

When we arrived, we found Fernandos but it was closed.....pheww...luckily it was just that we were early. It opens at 12pm. Waited about 20 minutes...and clap clap clap...we were the first customer. Apparently this place is quite packed and requires booking. Anyway...it's a very cozy restaurant. Suckling pig was ok..but i prefer the chinese style. I like their clams though....but overall...i preferred the lunch at Dumbo Restaurant yesterday.

Took the bus and stopover at Coloane village to get some tarts from the famous Lord Stow....wow..it was fantastic...much much better than the one i bought from Dumbo. We bought 8 pcs back to hotel.

After savouring the tarts and afternoon nap, we took the hotel shuttle bus to the Ferry Terminal to take the Wynn's shuttle bus to Wynn Casino. This Casino is so poshy!!!!! But not much luck here. Before we left Wynns, we witnessed a wonderful musical fountain display. Very nice..

We walked across to Casino Lisboa, since it was the first casino in Macau.. No bid deal ler.. Old decor and smoky. We then took a cab to Sands Casino. OOooohh..i mentioned today is my lucky day rite? Well...i was playing the slot machine and won HK$4,500! Yeah...this trip is fully sponsored with extra pocket money and also i can clear some of my credit cards debts too!

Btw, I also joined Sands membership....We all agreed that the casinos here, like Wynns and Sands, so elegant and friendly, with unlimited free drinks , so unlike genting. Shame on you, genting..

First Day at Macau

Hubby Beef Brisket Noodle
Gigantic Wanton Noodle
My Glutinous Rice Dumpling
View all 54 photos...
Arrived in Macau around 3.30 a.m., took a cab to the hotel..tried our luck to see if we can check-in....sigh sigh. Dumped our luggages at the hotel and then took a cab to The Sands Casino to kill time. Wahhh.....Genting is so 'ulu' compared to SANDS!!! So high class!!!! Everywhere in Macau are casinos...with the neon lights outshining each other...the night view is magnificent!!! Had breakfast at one of the restaurants in the casino...who would have guessed my first meal in Macau would be at the casino???? Hehehe..hubby managed to snap some photos of our food (camera not allowed inside the casino).

After losing some money and mood turning grouchy from the tiredness (and also losing money)...headed back to hotel around 8.00 a.m....finally we only get to check in at 11.00 a.m. OK...mood very very bad now...cos am hungry, tired and losing money. Took a quick shower and a quick nap.

Lunch lunch lunch...we went to this nearby food street called Rua Do Cunha and searched for this Dumbo Restaurant. GOODNESS. Lunch was superb, especially the open back hot prawns and roasted quail...my mood now feeling so much better. Hehehe. Then went to search for Serradura, a highly recommended dessert. Maybe i put up too much expectation on it...turned out so-so only. Also bought 2 Portugese tarts (HKD6 each) from Dumbo Restaurant.

Headed back to hotel for afternoon nap...in the evening we took a shuttle bus to Macau (our hotel is in Taipa which is about 10 mins drive from Macau island). Went to Ruin of St Paul, took some pictures, then walked down to Senado Square. Along the way...we sampled lots of dried meats and almond cookies, they really beg you to try their products, which of course i don't mind at all. Hahaha.

Oppss...wait. Hubby spotted something. WING LAI YUEN!!! Our favourite restaurant in HK!!!! Hubby walked straight into the building and decided to have dinner here. Hahaha...of course i don't mind at all lerrrr!

After a very satisfying dinner....we searched for this Dumpling shop which was featured in the TVB food program called "Unforgettable Taste". It claimed that HKies tarbau the raw dumpling back as souvenirs. Must try must try. After walking up and down....searching high and low...finally we found it. Wahhhhh!!!!! So succulent and juicy. 7 pcs for HKD10. Next we went to this food street called Rua Da Felicidade to try their Double Layered Steamed Milk. Wah......by now am very very very full...almost cannot walk...took a cab back to the hotel and called it a day...zzzzz.

Dim Sum at Chuai Heng Restaurant, 1 Utama

Pam and I treated YM to a birthday dim sum lunch at Chuai Heng Restaurant at 1 Utama. First time there....food not too bad except for the poor service. I prefers choosing dimsum from the dimsum trolley or menu with photos. But it seems like we have to order via 'verbal menu' from a very impatient waitress. Grrrr...anyway, food was not too bad, somemore got 33% discount. Pictures are courtesy from Pam. Thanks Pam!! Next time i won't forget my camera!
